I haven’t given up on the audiobook version of A Man’s Guide to Babies… really! It’s a work in progress: after recording everything, however, I have to set all the audio levels so you, gentle listener, won’t strain to hear some parts – only to have other parts blow out your eardrums. I had to stop work on that to rebuild this website and take care of other high-priority things like, oh, real life.

After regaling many people over the years with some of my experiences while in the Navy, a great many of them urged me to write a book. I resisted: arguing that if I wrote an actual autobiography, no one would believe it… so what was the point?

However, I finally decided on a suitable way to write my memoir: as a book that no one is supposed to believe. I’m blending fact with fiction in such form that the reader might wonder which parts really happened… and which didn’t. The names have been changed to protect the guilty: and since I’m not certain the statute of limitations has run out on all of our antics, the reader is urged to believe none of it–and simply enjoy the book as the fine Navy yarn it is.

At any rate, I’m working on it…
